About the issue
Floating vessels are navigational hazards – presenting problems for boaters and other outdoor recreationists when they clog up waterways and risk dumping black and grey wastewater in the bay.
Georgian Bay needs a long-term regulatory solution for floating accommodations that is clear and fair but can only be applied once Transport Canada removes the Vessel classification for float homes based in Ontario.
