About the issue
The wetlands and watersheds that feed Georgian Bay are vital to the region’s environmental heritage and monitoring and improving water quality in the region is crucial to the bay’s health.
With the support of the Ministry of Environment, Conservation, and Parks and in coordination with the Township of Georgian Bay, we helped establish first-of-its-kind wetlands protection funding of $478,000 through the MECP’s Wetlands Conservation Partner Program and continue to advocate for water quality programs for Georgian Bay.
